Blue Boy Vegetarian Food Center is one of my favorite places to get lunch in Kuala Lumpur. I ate there twice on my most recent visit.
As you can probably tell from the photos this is a vegetarian buffet restaurant. This is probably the best vegetarian buffet I’ve ever been to. It really is that good.
If you’re anything like me, the main problem you’ll have at this place is deciding what to eat. There are so many choices and all of them look delicious.
I usually choose around 5 or 6 dishes. Along with a bottle of water this usually costs around 15 MYR, which is under $4. I’m not sure how the food is priced but the woman at the till seems to count how many dishes you have and then give you a price.
As you can see above there is plenty of seating at Blue Boy. As well as the vegetarian buffet there are also some other stalls selling different food, such as noodles. I’ve always stuck with the buffet though.
This restaurant may be a little difficult to find the first time, but once you know where it is, it’s quite straighforward. When you’re on Jalan Pudu you’ll see a restaurant called Al-Wira, a small lane and then a hotel called My Hotel @ Bukit Bintang. Walk up that lane (Lorong Pudu 4) and you’ll see Blue Boy at the top just at the corner.
