Golden Homestay @ The Robertson is one the best value condos I’ve every stayed at anywhere in the world. The Robertson is a high-end condo building and the Golden Homestay is a condo available for short-term rental within the building. It was truly awesome spending three nights there.
As you can see from the images, this is a very large one-bed condo. I think it measured around 70 sqm.
The living room had a great layout, with a bed/settee and coffee table facing the TV and a floor to ceiling window that had fantastic views of the city. The condo is on the 32nd floor.
As well as a large dining table and four chairs, there was also this side table and chair, which is great if you have any work to do while there.
The Kitchen
The condo had a good sized kitchen, with full size fridge/freezer and all the pots, pans, dishes and cutlery you’re likely to need.
At the end of the kitchen there’s a door that opens out onto a small balcony where there’s a washing machine. This is very handy if you need to do some laundry while you’re there.
The Bedroom
The bedroom had two large, and very comfortable beds. The room was quite dark at night so it was easy to get a good night’s sleep.
The Bathroom
The bathroom was very spacious and well laid out. As you can see from the image above there is plenty of space to keep your toiletries, which is something that’s sadly lacking in most hotel rooms.
The shower area was quite large and the shower worked very well. Body wash and shampoo were provided. There were three windows next to the shower that could be opened, which you don’t get in many condo buildings.
The View
Just look at that view. This is the view from the condo at night-time. Awesome.
And as you can see above, there is an equally awesome view during the daytime.
The Swimming Pool
The Robertson is made up of two towers that are 46 floors high. On the 6th floor between the two towers is an awesome swimming pool. On the 7th floor there’s a fitness room and great garden area.
Nearby Shops, Cafes & Restaurants
In the image above you can see the area right outside the condo building. This has a grocery store, a 7-Eleven and about 6 cafes and restaurants. At the end is Jalan Pudu.
If you’re vegetarian you might be interested in Blue Boy Vegetarian Food Center, which is only a few minutes’ walk away.
Above you can see what the condos look like as you approach them from Jalan Pudu.
Internet Speed Test
The internet speed at the condo was very fast indeed. I think the only place I’ve ever stayed with faster internet was in Seoul. When I tested the internet speed at the condo it was around 90 Mbps dowmload and over 41 Mbps upload.

How To Get To The Condo From KL Sentral
If you arrive in Kuala Lumpur by train, as I did, it’s pretty easy to get to the condo by MRT. When in KL Sentral, just follow the signs for the MRT and you’ll end up at Muzium Negara station. From there you need to go two stops to Merdeka station. When leaving Merdeka station, follow the signs for Plaza Rakya LRT station. Then exit that station and walk to Jalan Pudu. From there it’s a short walk to the condo. It sould take around 5-10 minutes. The Robertson is shown on Google Maps, so it should be easy to find.
How To Book Golden Homestay @ The Robertson
I booked this room via Agoda, as I find that they usually have the cheapest rates.
